Chocolate Almond Spread

I love nuts and chocolate- who doesnt! - chocolate covered nuts, as well as candy bars featuring nuts...but on an even more delicious note....GIANDUJA! [john-do-ya] Which is a mixture of nut paste and chocolate [any kind of nut and any kind of chocolate] so gianduja can be made to meet anyone's wants/needs/likes/cravings. A very common gianduja spread is Nutella. Yup- nutella is hazelnut paste mixed with chocolate and some other milk solids to make a creamy and delicious spread. Let's make our own gianduja spread- I am using almonds and dark chocolate

Almonds: 30 g
Powdered Sugar: 30 g
Dark Chocolate: 30 g
Heavy Cream: 15 g

1. Toast your almonds in a 350 F oven until golden brown [4-5 minutes]
2. Combine your almonds and powdered sugar in a food processor and mix until a paste-like substance forms[similar to a peanut butter- this will take between 5-10 minutes]
3. Melt your chocolate and then add into the food processor. mix until combined
4. Add in the heavy cream and pulse until homogenous
ENJOY!
